Traveling Superintendent- Commercial Construction

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Traveling Superintendent to oversee our commercial construction projects across various locations. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management and a strong understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget by effectively managing scheduling and expense tracking.
• Monitor compliance with building codes and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Foster positive relationships with subcontractors, clients, and team members to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
• Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, addressing any issues that arise during construction.
• Coordinate travel logistics for project site visits and manage car allowances for the team.
• Utilize project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Office and Bluebeam, for efficient planning and documentation.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a superintendent in commercial construction with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software, including Bluebeam.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety management practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• OSHA training and First Aid CPR certification are strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively and manage travel coordination effectively.
