Position Overview

The Traveling Superintendent will oversee construction projects across various locations, primarily focusing on grocery store and big box retail developments. This role involves managing on-site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards while traveling as necessary to different site locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, to provide updates and address any issues that arise.
• Prepare daily reports and documentation for project progress and performance metrics.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on grocery stores and big box retail projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel frequently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
