We are seeking a skilled Wire Harness Design Engineer with expertise in Zuken to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing wire harnesses for various applications, ensuring that they meet specifications and quality standards while optimizing for manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop wire harness layouts using Zuken software.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish design requirements and specifications.
- Conduct circuit design and analysis to ensure functionality and safety of wire harnesses.
- Utilize CAD software for 3D modeling of wire harnesses and related components.
- Participate in prototyping and testing phases to validate designs.
- Implement design for manufacturability principles to streamline production processes.
- Utilize PLM software to manage design changes and documentation.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to understand production processes and challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in wire harness design using Zuken software.
- Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and circuit design principles.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
- Familiarity with prototyping techniques and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
