- Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions and motions.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, representing them in hearings or trials as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
- Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, trials, and other legal proceedings.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active California State Bar license.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in workers' compensation law.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in depositions and trial work is a plus.
