Job Description
CyberCore is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer Level 3 to Lead a dynamic team of developers creating and enhancing a cutting-edge FORNSAT Dashboard prototype. They will be managing government requirements and the development team as well as interfacing with end-users / Operators and cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Twenty (20) years of experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading System Engineering efforts is required.
- This position requires a general knowledge of the HCSO FORNSAT mission. An understanding of the processing flows from the antenna to the eventual datastore is essential in developing internal and external requirements. A processing flow consists of the various hardware and software components / systems necessary to achieve the desired output. The candidate should have a strong SIGINT background with a basic understanding of the Radio Frequency (RF) environment.
- The SE3 candidate should have an understanding of the agency's standard data transport implementations including ITX and NiFi. The candidate should be capable of developing and implementing Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- The candidate should have experience working with software engineering teams to develop requirements (JIRA, GIT), support documentation development (Test Plans, Operator Manuals), and provide testing and recommendations for enhancements. Experience using a project management framework such as SCRUM is valuable to assist with software engineering tasks. The SE3 should have an understanding of the full stack development paradigm, using RESTful APIs, consisting of front-end (acquisition & processing) and back-end (User Interfaces). The SE3 must be able to provide input based on customer requirements and create flow diagrams, generate data samples, define interfaces, and support the overall development needs.
- The SE3 candidate must have good interpersonal skills as daily customer interactions are expected. The SE3 must coordinate and collaborate with inter and intra-organizational teams. Experience in creating and updating confluence pages is essential to ensuring continuous interactions. Candidate must have experience coordinating briefings, capability / prototype demonstrations, and organizing and conducting meetings with the team and the customer. The candidate must have experience generating system engineering documentation such as System Requirements Specification, Concept of Operations (CONOP), Project Plan, Interface Control Document (ICD), Context and flow diagrams, and Use Cases.
- The SE3 candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic and flexible environment with changing priorities and multiple requirements sources.
- Active TS / SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

The salary range for this role is $91,000 - $183,000. This range is a good faith estimate that reflects various experience levels. At CyberCore, we consider multiple factors when determining compensation, including the specific role and its responsibilities, the candidate's professional experience, geographic location, education, and relevant skills. This range is not a guarantee of salary, as final compensation may also be influenced by contractual requirements and other considerations.
