The CRM team is responsible for building industry-leading Cyber Risk Models through collaboration with our market-leading Actuarial, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Application Engineering teams. This role works with these departments to create and then implement models into production environments.
Responsibilities:
- Build and validate our analytical cyber risk models used in single-risk and aggregate risk products for the insurance industry.
- Refine and build technographic models that integrate the areas of cybersecurity, insurance, and risk modeling through in-depth research and large data sets. Areas of work include cybersecurity posture, cloud security, malware defense, cyber risk exposure, technology stack dependencies, cybersecurity practices/policy, and threat actor characteristics.
- Work closely with the product, analytics, engineering, and client success teams in day-to-day tasks and projects.
- Define, adjust, and create analytical research methods and models that can be defended
- Synthesize large and complex data sets (including threat intelligence) into usable signals and model inputs.
- Answer complex questions and inquiries from clients and product teams.
- Present models and the foundational research findings to stakeholders from various clients, groups, and teams.
- Integrate new technologies, data sources, and techniques into the modeling process to create a more valuable and representative product.
- Provide insight to internal teams as well as clients and customers on modeled simulations and product output through cyber expertise in the model.
- Contribute robust internal and external documentation in the form of model documents, industry studies, informational videos, and code comments.
- Enable change management for cyber catastrophe model clients.
- Provide technical cybersecurity analysis on client portfolios to understand loss drivers and explain model outputs to clients.
- Synthesize questions and feedback from clients, and bring recommendations to the Product & Analytics team to set future direction with the models.

- Experience working in two or more of the following industries and fields: cybersecurity, IT systems/architecture, risk modeling/management, analytics, or cyber risk quantification
- Familiar with Python / R, SQL, Excel, and analytical frameworks
- Master’s degree in IT, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field
- 6-8 years of relevant work experience
- 10 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with catastrophe or risk quantification models
- Awareness of commercial insurance concepts, including cyber insurance
- Graduate degree in a related quantitative or engineering discipline such as mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, data engineering or computer science
- Familiarity with database schemas and queries in SQL or NoSQL
- Experience with data visualization in Tableau, Python, R, or MS Excel
- Experience working in an Agile environment and team

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
