Duties & Responsibilities:
- Under close supervision, create diagrams, schematics, layouts, multi-view, and other technical drawings to scale based on client requests.
- Perform basic mathematical, geometrical, and engineering computations.
- Use a CAD system to produce engineering drawings accurately to scale.
- Develop detailed design drawings and related specifications for civil or electrical equipment, using engineering sketches and other supporting documentation to determine factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
- Draft various types of drawings, including structure, schematic, foundation, grounding, steel layout, equipment, apparatus, wiring, panel, AC/DC, one-line diagrams, and others required for substation, relay, and line design packages.
- Maintain organized filing of drawings, catalogs of engineering data, and carry out other routine drawing room functions as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of training at a technical school or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
