CyberOptics-Nordson is a global leader in high-precision 3D sensor technology. We design and manufacture 3D sensors with unprecedented speeds and accuracies. Our sensors are deployed in electronics and semiconductor factories across the planet. The device you are using to read this notice most likely contains integrated circuits inspected by our sensors during their manufacture. Our 3D sensors are a tight integration of optics, electronics, software and algorithms.
We are looking for a technologist to extend the performance of our current 3D imaging architectures and team up to invent future high performance 3D architectures. You will use your broad understanding of optics, image and signal processing, computer vision and electronics to push the state of the art in speed, accuracy and resolution. Major Responsibilities:
- Engage in research that pushes the boundaries of what is possible in 3D imaging
- Optimize system design of optics, electronics and image processing to maximize performance
- Use your world class knowledge of sensor physics and technology to architect our future generations of 3D sensors
- Build prototypes to test next generation 3D sensors that incorporate innovations provided by you and your talented coworkers
- Work with our hardware, software and algorithm teams to turn these prototypes into products that address real world needs
- Collaborate with customers to understand their current and future measurement needs
- Work with customers to validate measurement performance in new and challenging applications
Education Required:
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Optical, Bio-Medical Engineering or Physics
Experience Required:
- Experience in researching, developing and implementing novel computer vision systems
- Broad understanding of optics, image and signal processing, computer vision and electronics
- Strong applied mathematical skills including machine learning, statistics, inverse problems, neural networks, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement advanced image processing algorithms
- C , MATLAB and CUDA experience
- Optical and electrical prototyping
- Publications in top-tier peer-reviewed journals
- Knowledge of latest computer vision technologies
