What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Hardware Validation Engineer Job at CyberTec in San Francisco position at CyberTec?

Job Responsibilities :

Work with a small team of product engineers in developing optical designs & validation systems for AR applications
Support Audio design iterations, validations and simulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers in building prototypes and testing sequences.
Collaborate with the larger research team to explore concepts and drive audio system development to create compelling experiences
Establish specifications for audio systems to ensure a successful product

Skills :

Familiarity with Audio test concepts such as

Frequency response

Idle Channel noise

Distortion

POLQA

TCLw (max Volume)

3QUEST

Ability to program in Python / Shell.

Ability to work with minimal direction and manage a project independently from start to finish

Working, communicating, and collaborating in a cross-functional team environment

Education / Experience :

BS in Electrical Engineering or relevant field

Experience in designing and simulating optical elements with optical tools and methods such as FRED, ASAP, LightTools, or Zemax

Experience defining system performance and component specifications

Experience with methods and tools for fabrication of optics (molded, polished, diamond turned) as well as microstructures
