Client : Vanguard
New Role : Data Engineer
Pay Rate : $68.00 / hr. on C2C)
Location : Malvern, PA(Hybrid 3 days a week, must be onsite on day 1)
Owns and manages the overall data strategy and architecture for Charitable (enterprise-wide)
Understand the data and data needs across both SaaS applications and their on-prem legacy apps
Go deep on evolving data & analytics needs (work with business stakeholders)
Develop conceptual and logical data models for their Production Data Stores
Define Data Lifecycle Management for Charitable
Charitable has 1 Data Governance resource and 1 Data focused Project Manager that manages an off-shore TCS team that develops reporting queries
There is a research team that is fairly self-sufficient on Data Science (need to engage them and ensure they can get what they need from data lake)
Master Data Management - define the need & capabilities for Charitable (they may not need a tool but rather process / discipline - data stewards)
The analytics environment runs on AWS with PostgresSQL and RDS
They use Tableau Cloud for data visualization, reports, dashboards
SFDC - need to leverage more native SFDC reporting / analytical capabilities where feasible
Initial project this resource will work on
1. Reporting & Analytics (data lake catalog and recommendations on visualization layer)
2. Enterprise-Wide Conceptual Data Architecture
3. Data Catalog & Governance
High-level arch / strategist that can go deep into data & solutions if needed
Look for data archs that have strong background builind ETL, data wareshoused, data lakes, moving on-prem data to Cloud, reports / analytics - helping teams of data scientists get the data, etc.
Candidates must have Financial Service industry background (DO NOT send data archs from manufacturing, utilities, Client, healthcare, or pharma)
100% has to be either local or can work from day 1 in Malvern
