Skills & Job Responsibilities :
The Power BI Developer will generally provide the following services at the direction :
- Collaborate with business SMEs and understand business requirements on business intelligence and design optimal solutions. Develop Power BI Reports.
- Design effective and efficient data warehouse (DW) schema in Oracle. Methodically develop extract-transform-load (ETL) processes utilizing Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) tools by connecting to different data sources to populate the DW per the requirements.
- Design, develop, and build mockups, reports, and dashboards using business intelligence and data visualization tools, such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Develop the building of Analysis Services reporting models.
- Developing visually appealing reports, key performance indicators / key risk indicator (KPI / KRI) scorecards, and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI desktop.
- Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence. Thinking analytically for the translation of data into informative reports and visuals.
- Implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Microsoft Power BI.
- Making DAX queries in Power BI desktop using SQL.
- Using advanced-level calculations on the data set.
- Developing supporting documentation.
- Developing tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards; and
- Conduct code reviews by the team processes and standards.
- Providing very good communication skills will allow for discussions around the requirements gathering and communicating with the project team.
