Infrastructure Solutions Architect

Job Description:

As an Infrastructure Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and related infrastructure including network equipment. This role involves ensuring that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to Client’s policies, standards, and guidelines. You will handle infrastructure administration, engineering, provisioning, operations, support, and maintenance, ensuring continual innovation and adherence to project and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to Tier 1-3 support requests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and customers of varying technical expertise.
• Address all break/fix requests associated with end-user resources.
• Configure and deploy new/replacement network equipment and workstations.
• Maintain up-to-date project and architecture documentation.
• Keep inventory and maintenance records current.
• Monitor system resources for server and network anomalies.
• Resolve connection issues between users and resources.
• Maintain a detailed change history of modifications.
• Support efforts to enhance cybersecurity controls and defenses.
• Assist in threat hunting and mitigation efforts.
• Manage time and resource constraints efficiently.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
• Conduct regular security monitoring to detect potential intrusions.
• Execute daily backup operations and regular file archival and purging.
• Create, change, and delete user accounts as requested.
• Provide Tier III support and investigate and troubleshoot issues.
• Diagnose and recover from hardware or software failures and coordinate with impacted constituencies.
• Apply OS patches and upgrades, and configure or add new services as necessary.
• Upgrade and configure system software supporting GIS or Asset Management applications.
• Maintain operational, configuration, and other relevant procedures.
• Perform periodic performance reporting for capacity planning and ongoing performance tuning.
  
  

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• General Information Technology knowledge.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Expertise in Cisco Routing and Switching.
• Experience with hardware installation and network design.
• Proficiency in vSphere/Virtualization and VPN & Remote Access Technologies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and backup solutions.
• Competence in network monitoring, DNS/DHCP, and network cable management.
• Experience with Cisco Firepower/Firewall Management.
• Skills in solutions design build, integration troubleshooting, and software integrations.
  
  

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
