As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will support small day-to-day site infrastructure operational initiatives, primarily those coming through the SIS Team ticketing queue. The administrator's primary responsibilities include building and supporting processes to maintain and update team technical documentation. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will support small day-to-day site infrastructure operational initiatives, primarily those coming through the SIS Team ticketing queue. The administrator's primary responsibilities include building and supporting processes to maintain and update team technical documentation. Collaboration with Site Infrastructure Engineers, Project Management, and technology project support teams is essential to ensure alignment with current resource allocations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic engineering tasks associated with planning, design, installation, testing, deployment, and support of site technologies, collaborating with experienced engineers on defined problems.
- Support administration functions related to due diligence assessments on proposed projects to determine technical requirements and points of integration.
- Conduct basic to moderate configuration of infrastructure integration technologies.
- Assist higher-level Site Infrastructure Engineers and project managers in adjusting project priorities to meet organizational needs.
- Assist with testing and documenting new integration tools and methodologies.
- Perform site infrastructure administrative tasks in support of technology moves, adds, and changes.
- Update and maintain reporting and dashboard functions associated with the SIS ticketing queue.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative working environment, communicating areas where existing policies, procedures, or standards may inhibit the delivery of quality technical solutions and recommending changes.
- Provide periodic reports to management.
- Collaborate with the site engineering team to ensure site inventory data is maintained.
- Complete other assignments as requested by management.
- Associate's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
- 3 years of work experience in a medium to large, enterprise-wide technical environment integrating, implementing, and supporting technologies, particularly in network and telecommunication and client/server integration.
- Solid customer service skills with effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem determination/resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize concurrent projects at the task level in a fast-paced environment and work in a team structure, driving to aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively with peers and outside vendors.
- Basic understanding of client/server and network/telecommunications architecture.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Office, Visio, and Project.
