As an IT Investment Planning Systems Analyst, you will work as a key member of the Design and Planning Team for IT projects within the Client Information Technology Division (ITD). This role involves close collaboration with the PMO office and is responsible for documenting procedures, creating job aids, templates, forms, flow diagrams, and presentation decks. You will update processes and documentation as required, analyze problems, document business processes, develop requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and manage requirements traceability and testing. Key Responsibilities:
- Research, outline, write, and edit technology project management-focused content, including job aids, templates, forms, and flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with Investment Planning and subject matter experts to develop documentation for current and future IT investment cycles.
- Work closely with the PMO and other internal subject matter experts to understand processes and pain points, contributing to resultant documentation and training programs.
- Ensure technical accuracy in all output and address specialized topics appropriately.
- Maintain a working knowledge of client applications for contextual reference in content creation.
- Collect user data to identify areas of documentation requiring creation, revision, or improvement.
- Diagram current processes and proposed modifications using process flows, context diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
- Adjust tone and technical terms to ensure understanding by the intended audience.
- Communicate complex concepts concisely and disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language.
- Create and facilitate training programs as required.
- Collaborate with staff, vendors, consultants, and contractors to formulate, detail, and test solutions.
- 10 years of overall IT experience, with an emphasis on technology project management and business analysis, including at least 5 years of technical writing.
- Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Comprehensive understanding of Waterfall, Agile, Scaled Agile, and Kanban methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- B.A. Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute.
- Experience in a public sector setting.
- Experience with networking projects is desirable.
