Lead Quality Assurance Specialist - Hybrid

Job Description:

As a Lead Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, pilot, and implementation of software quality assurance processes. You will collaborate with business and application teams to ensure compliance with standards and perform functional, regression, and data-integrity testing. This role involves testing web-based applications, verifying data integrity, and ensuring that software development tasks adhere to project requirements. You will also be responsible for database testing, executing SQL queries, and identifying process improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manually test web-based applications
• Ensure compliance with project procedures and standards
• Perform detailed reviews of software development tasks
• Review and compare actual project procedures to specified standards
• Conduct software quality phase reviews and produce reports
• Perform database integrity testing
• Develop and manage software quality plans and schedules
• Balance workload based on team capacity, project schedules, and budgets
• Collaborate with vendors and technical teams
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
  
  

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• 12 years of IT application experience
• 8 years of application testing experience
• 3 years as a QA lead
• Experience with relational databases, SQL queries, and stored procedures
• Proficiency in HP UFT, SOAP/RESTful web services testing, and manual testing
• Strong communication skills and experience in AGILE/SCRUM teams
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical study
  
  

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $60.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
