As a Power BI/SQL Developer, your role involves collaborating with the Data Office, Business, IT, and other stakeholders while actively participating in the Data Quality Enhancement initiative. The individual should be a self-starter, comfortable prioritizing and effectively managing their daily workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with overall Power BI/SQL support related to the Data Quality Enhancement initiative and other development efforts, including development, performance, process, and documentation.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all business data and adhere to Client data security policies.
- Meet all deliverables within the agreed timeframe.
- Provide regular status updates and attend various meetings as required.
- Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
- Create interactive visualizations, reports, and dashboards to assist with effective monitoring of Critical Data Elements.
- Advise on best practices in data visualization and report optimization.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable reports.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Develop DAX queries to enhance the performance and functionality of reports.
- Create reports to support KPIs and other performance indicators.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and SQL tools.
- Review existing SQL queries, execution plans, partitions, and indexes to identify performance enhancements for long-running queries.
- Provide alternative options to existing data manipulation techniques, such as converting Excel manipulation activities into solutions that reduce the cycle time of data preparation.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server SQL development, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Experience in writing complex DAX queries.
- Experience with MS SQL Server data modeling and schema design.
- Familiarity with working in an Agile development environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
