As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and motivating diverse project teams throughout all phases of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid projects. You will drive the transformation of identified requirements or opportunities into actionable plans for successful delivery. Additionally, you will provide ongoing governance and oversight to ensure project execution aligns with standards and delivers exceptional value to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee proposals, statements of work, statements of requirements, and RFP responses, facilitating the technical and planning aspects of the technology procurement process.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to create plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for project execution, integrating client best practices.
- Ensure project plans include tasks, schedules, risk identification, checkpoints, status reporting, and resource allocation.
- Transition developed plans to internal client or vendor teams for execution, adhering to PMI best practices.
- Provide governance oversight, ensuring projects have frameworks for meetings, reporting, metrics, risk and issue management, and quality assurance.
- Monitor third-party vendor progress, defining and measuring progress with pre-defined metrics and milestones.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executive management, business management, vendors, project sponsors, suppliers, and technology management.
- Set initiative goals consistent with technical objectives and client’s overall technology strategy.
- Adhere to CLIENT’s project management practices and governance requirements.
- Demonstrate significant emotional intelligence (EQ) in managing project challenges and maintaining a positive project culture aligned with client’s mission and values.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
- 15 years of overall IT experience, with preferred experience in technology infrastructure and application development.
- At least 10 years of experience managing large projects in a portfolio and a bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency in Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, and Office.
- Financial literacy, including budgeting, accounting, investing, and managing credit.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement management, including developing Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and contracts.
- PMP Certification through PMI or qualification under standards for IT Project Managers.
- Knowledge of core IT procurement processes (RFP, Contract, and SOW) is preferred.
