Technical Project Manager - Hybrid

Job Description:

As a Technical Project Manager, you will manage and deliver complex IT projects involving multiple teams and work streams under an aggressive delivery schedule. With a PMP certification required and experience in a Scaled Agile environment preferred, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project, from initiation to closeout, while ensuring adherence to client and project management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a hands-on technical project manager working closely with development staff and business groups.
• Coordinate and communicate with IT Division management and staff to manage work and resources.
• Communicate project timelines and expectations to technical and business staff.
• Facilitate collaboration among multi-functional technical teams.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors, including contract management and working with procurement offices.
• Adhere to client and project management practices and governance requirements.
• Coordinate with client and project management offices to align on project activities.
• Maintain project budgets, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status, and disseminate information as outlined in the communication plan.
• Ensure documentation of requirements and use cases and facilitate design workshops for the project.
• Oversee the preparation of test objectives, test plans, and test cases for the project.
• Manage project milestones and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Define, measure, and communicate project progress using metrics.
• Support system and application training efforts.
  
  

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Experience managing large multi-stream projects valued at $10M or greater.
• Expertise in IT infrastructure delivery, including networking, physical plant, vendor management, and site provisioning.
• PMP Certification is required.
• Experience in both Scaled Agile and Waterfall Project Management.
• Agile Scrum Master Certification.
• SAFe® Scrum Master Certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server).
• Experience managing high-visibility and high-stakes projects.
• Proven experience managing projects coordinating with external teams.
• Experience managing projects as part of a larger program and under PMO governance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Management Information Systems, Project Management, or Finance/Business.
  
  

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
