As a Test Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing performance requirements, developing and executing automated tests, primarily focusing on performance testing. As a Test Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing performance requirements, developing and executing automated tests, primarily focusing on performance testing. Your role will include programming, configuring, and maintaining testing tools, as well as providing exceptional customer support and troubleshooting technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze performance requirements from business areas and develop automated tests to meet those requirements.
- Support developers by building automated test scripts and plans, and executing those tests.
- Gather requirements and formalize them into a comprehensive testing plan.
- Program, configure, automate, and execute performance tests, recording and presenting test results to development teams.
- Perform analysis, triage, and remediation to ensure proper execution of tests and resolve connectivity or runtime issues.
- Conduct research on testing tools for features and pricing, and maintain and update versions of existing tools.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, and other communication channels in a professional manner.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, provide guidance to resolve customer concerns, and document interactions using CRM systems (e.g., Remedy).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to efficiently escalate and resolve customer issues.
- Contribute to the development of self-service resources, knowledge base articles, and other support materials to address common customer challenges.
- 4 years of experience with industrial-grade testing tools from recognized vendors (e.g., IBM Rational Performance Tester, Selenium, Apache JMeter).
- 2 years of basic programming knowledge in a common language, with the ability to customize test scripts and adjust test execution.
- 2 years of experience with a common integrated development environment (IDE) such as Eclipse or MS Visual Studio.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of digital accessibility concepts and techniques.
