Job Description :
As a SDET Test Engineer, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and performance of software products by participating in requirements gathering and translating functional and technical requirements into effective test cases and scripts. Your expertise in automation tools will allow you to design, develop, and execute automation scripts for web applications and web services. You will collaborate with development teams, conduct testing in various environments, and recommend process improvements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions and translate requirements into test cases and scripts.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts for web applications and web services using tools like Selenium, Java, and Cucumber.
- Write and execute browser UI, database, and web service tests using Java libraries, JUnit, TestNG, and low-code automation tools like AccelQ and Tosca.
- Evaluate current test methodologies and recommend process improvements.
- Manage defects and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
- Plan and estimate testing efforts in collaboration with the project team.
- Primary assignment will be to one project, with exposure and collaboration with QA Engineers from other projects.
- Be part of an Agile team working alongside developers and other stakeholders.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies :
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $70.00 / hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
