ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
As a Director of Operations, you will:
- Supervise and evaluate members of the Operations Team.
- Manage all school scheduling, special events, field trips, cafeteria, transportation, maintenance, playgrounds and cleaning.
- Responsible for school safety plan: disaster preparation, fire drills, student, staff and public safety, and student health.
- Maintain equipment, textbook, and supply inventories.
- Monitor student attendance and coordinate efforts with the Counseling Team to improve student attendance.
- Coordinate with the Principal to maintain a positive, safe learning environment for students.
- Responsible for school public relations and communications plan: promote the school and district through positive relations with community, businesses, parents and students.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief of Staff.
- Maintain regular attendance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least two years of operations management experience in charter or private schools
- Strong interpersonal skills, high levels of emotional intelligence and tendency to identify and amplify strengths in teammates; detail-oriented
- Train, supervise and evaluate personnel.
- Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field.
- Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently, excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize competing demands
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
- Communication skills; oral and written.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule.
