Sr. Instrumentation and Controls Engineer
Denver, CO – Tyler, TX
Looking for a mid-senior level (10 years relevant experience) with demonstrated experience leading the EI&C (Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls) deliverables on heavy industrial projects (e.g. metals and minerals, energy/oil & gas, utilities, industrial chemicals, etc.)
Position Overview
The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer is responsible for leading the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EI&C) deliverables on heavy industrial projects. This role requires expertise in PLC wiring and design, as well as experience working on complex projects in industries such as metals and minerals, energy/oil and gas, utilities, and industrial chemicals.
The ideal candidate will have a Professional Engineer (PE) license, a strong background in EI&C engineering, and the ability to lead and coordinate project deliverables effectively. This is a mid-to-senior-level role requiring 8 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of EI&C deliverables for heavy industrial projects.
- Design, review, and oversee instrumentation and controls systems, including PLC wiring and integration.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, project specifications, and company standards.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to align EI&C designs with overall project objectives.
- Prepare and review technical documents, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and project reports.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and junior engineers.
- Identify project risks and propose solutions to mitigate potential issues.
- Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
