Job Description and Requirements for: Specialty Vehicle – Production
(Specialty Vehicle refers to RV, Marine, Golf Car, non-standard Powersport vehicles)
Reports directly to General Managers. Position is a Full-Time position. Familiarity with Computers and Word and Excel documents. Must have good communication skills.
Summary of basic responsibilities:
- Always be courteous and respectful to internal and external customers
- Always dress and conduct yourself in a professional manner when representing the company on and off site
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that your coworkers conduct themselves with safety as our top priority.
- Ensure all vehicles are operated safely and only for their intended purposes.
- Notify local GOM immediately of any safety related concerns.
- Always ask questions if you are unsure
- Always check in and out with the local GOM at the beginning and end of your daily shift when working offsite from the corporate offices.
- Be familiar with and enforce all rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Promote a willingness to help with a “Can Do” attitude to dealers, lenders, and transporters alike and portray this image positively to other employees
- Help build and promote teamwork with all team members by always being willing to jump in and assist as needed, remember to ask and not tell. (Do you need any help, can you do this for me, when its handled can you let me know) these are just examples.
- Communicate and identify discrepancies in our operating processes and assist in making the necessary improvements and adjustments regarding OEM/Factory and our NPA Comprehensive CR’s.
- Always maintain a positive attitude, to be a successful leader requires patience and tolerance.
Summary of extended responsibilities related to Specialty Vehicles:
- Oversees the Specialty Vehicle production process of correctly and efficiently prepping Specialty units and the verification of vehicle information accurately and completely.
- Ensures CR’s are being performed on time and within our SOP parameters.
- Verification that all Specialty units are put in or added to AMS for proper system and unit updating through CR and Sale process.
- Researching and educating model info.
- Collecting Book data and values
- Communication with other departments as needed
- Weekly reviews with others from all locations
Job specific responsibilities: Complete operations production of all Specialty Vehicle
- Receiving the vehicle as they arrive
- verification of extended process that maybe needed.
- review model and update accordingly
- Verification of any Recon work needed and follow up.
- Verification of CR process and QC
- Verification of Specialty Vehicle representation prior to sale and numbering
- Post-sale breakdown for follow up where necessary
- Verify that vehicles are labeled and have keys
- Verify that vehicles have enough fuel to process a condition report
- Meeting inspection deadlines and goals to satisfy contractional obligations.
- Create Damage Estimates for Clients, as necessary.
- Pulls daily production reports.
- Perform Compression tests and Flush tests, water test, and winterizing as needed.
- Tag all parts and accessories included but not attached to vehicle.
- Responsible for auction placement of vehicles as required and planned by GM.
- Clean out cargo holds
- Attach keys to units for security
- Put correct air pressure in tires as needed
- Change batteries as necessary
- Help unload/load vehicles from trucks and trailers as needed
- Must not be sensitive to chemicals, cleaners, and fuel fumes
- Responsible for all company equipment and tools associated with detail
- Responsible for the detailing of the auction cart on auction day
- Responsible for moving auction cart on auction day
- Keep clean rags separate from dirty ones
- Take out facility trash Wednesday and Friday
- Must be able to work outside comfortably in heat/cold/weather etc.
