Job Description

As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing the quality assurance strategy for the Cycle test automation platform. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the overall QA vision, overseeing the creation and execution of automated and manual test plans, and ensuring the readiness of releases for production. You will play a pivotal role in improving the efficiency and scalability of testing processes through automation, while driving quality initiatives, building and guiding a high-performing QA team, and collaborating across departments to maintain the highest level of product excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Team Management : Lead and manage the QA team, setting clear objectives and expectations to ensure quality goals are met while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Test Case Design & Execution : Lead the creation and execution of automated and manual test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage across functionality, performance, security, and user experience.
  • Bug Identification and Reporting : Lead the team in investigating and identifying issues, ensuring proper documentation, and tracking bugs through resolution.
  • Release Readiness :   Ensure all product releases meet the necessary quality standards, conducting thorough evaluations of all code changes to ensure stability, reliability, and performance before production deployment.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams :   Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify critical areas for testing and improve product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and Execute QA Strategy :   Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with the company's goals and ensures a high-quality product is delivered consistently.
  • Continuous Improvement :   Identidy and implement best practices for testing, improving efficiency, test coverage, and quality metrics. provide mentorship and guidance to team members on the use of new testing tools and techniques.
  • Metrics & Reporting : Definer key performance indicators (KPIs) for QA processes, track progress, and provide regular reports on testing efforts, test coverage, and overall product quality.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

Experience : Proven experience (5 years) as a Product QA Manager, Lead QA Engineer, or similar role in a software development environment. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is required.

Technical Background : Strong technical understanding of software development processes and technologies. Ability to engage in technical discussions and make informed decisions.

Strong expertise in automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).

Experience in building and leading automated testing strategies for web and / or software applications.

Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (e.g., Scala, Go, Java) is a plus.

Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize competing demands based on business value and impact.

Communication : Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.

Team Collaboration : Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Experience leading and motivating teams towards achieving common goals.

Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or similar field) or equivalent experience.
