Fleet Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Equipment Manager
Salary: Competitive, Based on Experience
Purpose of this position is to perform daily and weekly maintenance on heavy construction equipment.
Ability to operate medium duty vehicle equipped with maintenance fluids and equipment.
Responsible for cleanliness and condition of vehicle at all times.
Responsible for completing all regular maintenance of vehicle according to manufacture’s schedule. Maintenance to be performed at a certified dealer location.
The Maintenance Vehicle is to be driven from Cyclone yard to job sites and back to yard daily.
Travel to jobsites on daily basis to perform maintenance on all equipment on jobsite.
Perform walk around inspection noting any issues with each machine before maintenance.
Inspection to include condition of cutting edges, wear plates, and bucket & ripper teeth.
Grease all points indicated on manufacturer chart. Bucket and blade linkage should be greased each visit.
Some machines are equipped with Auto Lube with grease reservoir that is to be filled to indicated full line.
Air Filters are to be removed and cleaned with compressed air on each visit.
Engine, Transmission, Hydraulic Tank, are to be checked and filled to full mark as needed on each visit.
All inspections and equipment maintenance to be input via company iPad and into Fleet management system.
Requirements
Experience: 3 years in construction or equipment dealer industry
Valid Georgia driver’s license
High School Diploma or GDA Diploma
Mechanical Aptitude and Ability
Ability to read and interpret service schematics, maintenance manuals
Basic computer and iPad skills
