We are looking for a Mechanical Assembler 2 is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the manufacturing process, including assembling, testing, and inspecting products. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. The Mechanical Assembler 2 is expected to have a higher level of skill and expertise compared to a Manufacturing Assembler 1 and may be responsible for training and supervising other technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble products according to blueprints, diagrams, and other written instructions
- Test and inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Report any issues or problems to the team lead or supervisor
- Train and supervise Mechanical Assembler 1s and other technicians as needed
- Perform advanced tasks such as setting up and operating specialized machinery and equipment
- Assist with the development and improvement of manufacturing processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic machine tools
- Familiarity with quality control processes
- Ability to read blueprints and diagrams
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Vocational or technical training in a related field
- Experience setting up and operating specialized machinery and equipment
- Experience training and supervising other technicians
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
Physical Demands:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Intermittent bending, lifting, stooping, reaching, walking, and squatting
- Standing for long periods of time
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm
