What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineering/Auditor position at Cyient?
Develop, implement, and integrate manufacturing processes for gas turbine engines by applying lean philosophies and techniques. Along with Project Management, Quality Engineer / Lead Auditor activities will include specific technical assignments designated by the Team Leader; executing tasks independently and with team members.
- Lead, conduct and manage aerospace (AS9100D) both internal / external audits (e.g., audit process, risk evaluation, audit schedules, audit results analysis. Audits are related to MRO / Aftermarket, mfg. shop floor, and business processes. (Driving safety as a number one priority).
- Conduct finding evaluations and classification, input into CAR system; approve implementation of Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA) plans, follow-up activities, and closure with objective evidence.
- Manage data for metrics, audits, documents, and improvement projects. Perform intermediate analysis on the data and perform quality system risk analysis. Incorporate risk mitigation into the audit program and associated documentation.
- Obtain, analyze, and evaluate documentation, reports, data, and flowcharts, for compliance to quality / system requirements. Recommend process improvements based on the analysis results.
- Prepare written reports and deliver presentations with data analysis of audit results, and project / improvement status. Submit for review / approval and present audit results to teams and leadership.
- Functional QMS support / oversight across multiple business units (e.g., benchmarking, process improvement, problem solving, integration levels/quality plans).
- Perform preliminary Manufacturing Review Board (MRB) activities. Develop appropriate re-work planning.
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other continuous improvement tools to achieve manufacturing / quality goals.
- Follow Quality Standard Work (QSW) guidelines / processes / procedures.
- Ensure Export / ITAR compliance for project deliverables.
- Introduce cost savings proposals and collaborate on initiatives in respect to the CORE programs.
