Role Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled Zeiss Calypso CMM Programmer with 3 to 6 years of experience in precision measurement and quality assurance. As a Calypso Programmer, you will be an individual contributor responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our aerospace components through precise programming, setup, and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate Zeiss Calypso CMM machines to inspect aerospace components, ensuring they meet stringent quality standards.
- Develop and optimize CMM programs using CAD models and blueprints to ensure accurate measurements.
- Conduct first-article inspections and generate detailed inspection reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address any discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure consistent performance.
- Work on projects including complex component inspections and supporting new product introductions.
Required Skill Sets:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Calypso programming and operation.
- Highly skilled in Calypso Programming.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with CAD/CAM systems and blueprint reading.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Due to the nature of the position on ITAR projects; all candidates must be US persons to be considered. Security verification is a mandatory requirement for employment at Cyient.
