Job Title: Prompt Engineer

Location: Houston 3 days onsite

The Prompt Engineer plays a pivotal role in harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to enhance various business functions. The Prompt Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and refining prompts that guide interactions with AI models. This role is crucial for optimizing AI performance, enhancing user experiences, and ensuring effective communication through well-structured prompts. In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, this position is essential for NRG to continuously innovate and maintain a competitive edge.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and refine prompts and make necessary code changes to ensure accurate, relevant, and contextually appropriate responses from AI models, with a deep understanding of the underlying data structure.
• Analyze and test prompt effectiveness, leveraging data insights to continuously improve prompt quality and model performance.
• Develop and execute test cases for various scenarios to evaluate prompt accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with Business stakeholders, product and engineering teams to align prompt engineering with project goals and business objectives.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of prompt design processes, methodologies, lessons learned, and best practices, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders for continuous improvement.
• Ensure prompts adhere to responsible AI principles, avoiding biases, and promoting ethical interactions.

Working Conditions:

• Open office environment.
• Working in NRG Houston office 3 days a week is required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science or data science or artificial intelligence
• Around or more than one year of relevant working experience.
• Proficiency in Java, C/C / C#, or other relevant programming languages.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to code, debug, and deploy AI solutions with strong software engineering best practices.
• 1 years of experience in any one of the cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS.
• Proficiency in working with AI models and prompt optimization tools.
• Experience with specific AI platforms and frameworks such as OpenAI or Google Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience building AI agent, multi-agent, and implementing embedding for RAG functionalities.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
• Experience with scenario testing and performance evaluation.
• Deep knowledge of data structures and their impact on AI performance.
• Ability to use testing frameworks to evaluate prompt results
