MRI Technologist Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at Cynet-Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiography, with a minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist. You will be required to hold the IEMA-DNS licensure, ARRT Radiography registration, and ARRT MRI registration. Additionally, you must have approved CPR or BLS certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
- Work flexible hours, alternate shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations as necessary to provide quality patient care.
- Participate as part of a multidisciplinary team, serving on committees and engaging in projects.
- Conduct procedures or examinations under the order of a licensed medical practitioner for diagnostic interpretation.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide instruction to gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
- Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others.
- Select and operate MRI system, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment to achieve desired results.
- Position patients and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, respecting patient safety and comfort.
- Immobilize patients as required for appropriate examination.
- Select appropriate pulse sequences with consideration of established protocols and other data acquisition parameters.
- Perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access, and prepare and administer contrast media.
- Verify consent and screening forms, use appropriate scripting, barriers, and identifiers.
- Assist physicians with interventional procedures, practicing aseptic technique and observing universal precautions.
- Evaluate images and data for technical quality, manipulate and reconstruct digital data for display.
- Ensure proper identification of images for physician review and interpretation.
- Assume responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures.
- Use radiology information systems, complete all required records and reports, and archive images.
- Initiate basic life support action when necessary.
- Provide practical instruction to partners and students.
- Holiday coverage required.
