Job Description:
This position involves working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. Key responsibilities include conducting high-quality radiographic procedures, educating patients on exam procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Verify exam orders, identify patients through two identification means, and educate them on exams
- Ensure paperwork completion and availability of prior studies before Radiologist review
- May be required to work weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
- Participate in departmental cross-training in other imaging modalities, such as CT, MRI, DEXA, and Mammography
Qualifications:
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R) certification
- Current BLS Certification (or must obtain within 90 days)
- Prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist preferred
