**Job Summary:**
Cynet Health seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Sitka, AK. As an integral part of the surgical team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to patients during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrub in on surgical procedures under the supervision of professional nurses, accommodating advanced and complex types of surgeries.
- Anticipate the surgeon's preferences for materials or instruments and respond proactively.
- Update nurses as necessary based on equipment needs and physician preferences, demonstrating sound clinical judgment and adaptability.
- Set up sterile tables with instruments, equipment, supplies, and medications/solutions needed for surgical procedures.
- Disassemble and reassemble instruments or equipment needing cleaning and prepare them for terminal sterilization.
- Monitor supplies and instruments to ensure sterility and enhance Quality Assurance of patient care.
- Inventory and order supplies as needed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital operating room.
- Completion of a technologist training program accredited by an agency recognized by the Department of Education.
- Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) preferred; if not certified, obtain certification within six months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
