Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients of all ages.
- Carry out assigned supervisory functions.
- Maintain ARRT standards.
- Demonstrate courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication to all customers and adhere to the 7 customer service behaviors.
- Verify physician orders, consult with radiologists as necessary, and prepare patients for exams.
- Explain procedures and provide relevant education and instruction to patients.
- Perform MRI studies, administer contrast media, and adhere to age-related technical, positioning protocols, and safety procedures according to department policy.
- Assist radiologists with MR procedures as requested.
- Evaluate MRI images for technical quality.
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment and supplies, including performing equipment warm-up, calibration, and safety checks.
- Operate the hospital computer system and report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Work every other weekend as needed.
