Certifications: BLS - American Heart Association, ACLS/NRP/PALS appropriate for unit or service

Must-Have: BLS-CPR, Registered Nurse, Cath Lab, ACLS/CPR

Job Description

• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.
• Evaluates health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
• Performs health teaching and health counseling.
• Provides therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to life and well-being directly or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.
• Executes delegated medical functions and refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.
• Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
• Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Uses resources as needed and promotes the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• May be required to float to other departments based on business needs.
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
  
  

Schedule Notes: Works four 10-hour shifts a week. Required to take one night of call a week and one weekend of call every three weekends. May be mandated to take call with permanent staff if staffing allows.
