- Deliver care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectations with minimal supervision.
- Efficiently triage patients based on physical and psychosocial needs and manage patient flow through the system safely.
- Communicate effectively with ER Physicians and Mid-level providers regarding patient status changes and results of diagnostic studies.
- Respond rapidly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, mid-level providers, allied health staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Direct the work of Emergency Department techs, registration staff, and other allied health staff.
- Take direction from the Emergency Department Director, Physicians, Mid-level providers, and Director of Nursing.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of Emergency Department nursing principles and procedures.
- Demonstrate basic office skills and computer proficiency.
- Possess IV skills and the ability to operate both manual and electronic medical equipment.
