Common patient diagnoses include oncologic emergencies, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, adult respiratory distress syndrome, gastrointestinal bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, consequences of oncologic treatment, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis.
Special procedures and common treatments include mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, complex medication regimens, clinical trials, and plasmapheresis.
Many patients have underlying pulmonary and gastrointestinal conditions requiring bronchoscopy or endoscopy.
The position requires orientation for 24 hours.
Flu vaccine is required, with medical exemptions only.
The candidate must complete a strict compliance process and ensure responsiveness to credentialing requirements.
