- Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:2 and may go up to 1:3.
- Work schedule includes three weekend shifts over a four-week period; day shifts occur on Saturdays and Sundays, and night shifts on Fridays and Saturdays.
- Scrub color requirement is Navy Blue.
- Shifts are 12 hours: 0700-1930 for days, and 1900-0730 for nights, with self-scheduling options.
- Possible floating to step-down units may be required.
- Common diagnoses include respiratory, trauma, neuro, cardiac, renal, and OB cases.
- The unit features 36 private beds, with utilization of 24 beds.
- Cancellations may occur up to twice per assignment under 13 weeks without penalty, and up to three times for assignments of 13 weeks or longer.

- The work setting is acute care with a trauma level designation.
