- Nurses experienced in critical care are needed for a unique float position.
- Skills required include: Swan Ganz lines, arterial lines, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Continuous Electroencephalograms (EEGs), management of Thrombolytic Therapy, and COVID care.
- The position is based in a mixed ICU caring for cardiac, neurological, and medical/surgical patients.
- Staff will float to a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and various medical/surgical units as needed.
- Patient-to-nurse ratios will vary based on unit acuity with ICU 1:2 or 1:3, PCU 1:3 or 1:4, and Med/Surg 1:5 or 1:6, subject to unit and patient care needs.
- This is a safety-sensitive position requiring successful completion of medication and dysrhythmia lessons/tests during orientation.
- Must be proficient in the EPIC EMR system and successfully pass an assessment on the first day to continue in the assignment.
- Preference is given to those with current or previous Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med/Surg experience.
