Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU with EPIC EMR experience

License: Registered Nurse License

Job Description

• Nurses experienced in critical care are needed for a unique float position.
• Skills required include: Swan Ganz lines, arterial lines, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Continuous Electroencephalograms (EEGs), management of Thrombolytic Therapy, and COVID care.
• The position is based in a mixed ICU caring for cardiac, neurological, and medical/surgical patients.
• Staff will float to a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and various medical/surgical units as needed.
• Patient-to-nurse ratios will vary based on unit acuity with ICU 1:2 or 1:3, PCU 1:3 or 1:4, and Med/Surg 1:5 or 1:6, subject to unit and patient care needs.
• This is a safety-sensitive position requiring successful completion of medication and dysrhythmia lessons/tests during orientation.
• Must be proficient in the EPIC EMR system and successfully pass an assessment on the first day to continue in the assignment.
• Preference is given to those with current or previous Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med/Surg experience.
  
  

Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify for this position. Holiday coverage is required.
