Description
This position requires managing patients with acute pulmonary embolism, sepsis, COVID-19, hypothermia, hyponatremia, subdural hematoma, COPD, and hypertension.
Proficiency in procedures involving ECMO, LVAD, Impella, CRRT, IABP, IO, Intubation/LMA, and arterial blood gases is expected.
The role includes administering blood products, rapid infusion, managing chest tubes, conducting thoracotomy procedures, and utilizing biphasic defibrillators.
Skills in NGT/OGT lavage, managing restraints, and administering feedings and medications via G-Tube/PEG Tube are required.
Proficiency with art lines and central lines is necessary.
Floating to different units may be required.
Working every other weekend is expected.
The role requires working every other holiday.
Facilities may call off up to three shifts during a 13-week contract or two shifts for contracts shorter than 13 weeks.
