- License:** Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse required
- Certifications:** NIHSS, BLS & ACLS required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- BSN highly desired
- Work 3 x 12-hour night shifts or rotate between day/night shifts
- Must reside 100 miles away from the unit
- The ICU is a multidisciplinary unit, caring for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
- Utilize various technologies for patient care and treatment, including but not limited to:
- Ventilators
- Cardiac monitors
- Pulmonary artery catheters
- Arterial and central lines
- PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors
- Continuous pulse oximetry and renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
- Gastric tubes
- Intravenous infusion pumps
- Fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements
