- Function as part of a team comprising Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs, and Unit Clerks
- Utilize equipment such as GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, and Glucometer
- Document using the Meditech Expanse system
- Required to work every other weekend with three 12-hour shifts per week
- May float to post-surgical med/surg or tele overflow unit as needed
- Preferred advanced skills in managing chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, drains, post-dialysis assessments, central lines, and blood transfusions
- Perform telemetry monitoring and assist with procedures like paracentesis
- Wear navy blue or gray scrubs, avoiding royal blue for safety reasons
- Engage in an environment that promotes excellent teamwork, supported by a director, manager, and clinical educator
- Participate in bi-weekly team recognition and celebrate achievements through GroupMe communications
- The unit values interdisciplinary communication and continuously improves patient care through staff feedback and new equipment.
