- Provide compassionate patient care with a focus on conditions such as Sickle Cell, Lymphomas, Leukemias, Solid Tumor Cancers, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), and Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA).
- Work within a 1:5 RN-to-patient ratio on night shifts.
- Wear royal blue scrub/uniform and participate in a unit-based orientation with a preceptor for 3 shifts.
- Collaborate with Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Aides, and Secretaries on the floor for effective patient support.
- Utilize the Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system for bedside charting.
- Administer medications including Morphine PCA and manage pain relief protocols.
- Be prepared to float to other units if necessary, prioritizing critical care, step-down, telemetry, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Emergency Department (ED), and Med-Surg when required.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and teamwork, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Opportunity for respiratory therapists is not available on this unit.
