- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:9-12 with assistance from nurse aides with ratios of 1:12.
- Collaborate with a charge nurse who handles all admissions and physician orders.
- Participate in unit orientation lasting 1-2 shifts.
- Follow a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend and holiday.
- Wear royal blue scrubs.
- Engage with an IV team, although initial attempts are expected from nurses.
- Utilize EPIC Systems for charting and electronic medical records.
- Care for post-operative patients recovering from hip, knee, and shoulder surgeries as well as diagnoses like pneumonia and CHF requiring additional rehabilitation.
- Understand the policy of no false nails.
- Cooperate with RT and Pharmacy, both available 24/7.
