- Medical Specialties is a 57 max capacity unit servicing internal medicine patients with a wide range of medical diagnoses.
- Unit amenities include video monitoring capability, sitter rooms, ceiling lifts, and bariatric rooms.
- Charge nurse and supervisor available on every shift.
- Required to float to Medical Surgical (MS) and MS/Tele units.
- Patient ratios: 1:5 for days and 1:6 for nights, with potential increases to 6 and 7 patients respectively.
- Ability to work 50% of holidays during the contract period.
- First-time travelers are welcome.
- Return travelers do not require re-orientation if returning within 18 months.
- Locals accepted with varying conditions.
- Cerner experience preferred.
- Two references needed from a charge nurse or above at submission.
- Mandatory floating for all units.
- Travelers may be assigned as Patient Observers (Sitter) in different areas as needed.
- Completion of non-billable modules during orientation and annually, which vary by specialty. Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable training.
