Must-Have
- Reading basic telemetry strips
- Experience with CVA and TIA
- Cerner experience recommended
- Total joint replacement experience
- Work on a telemetry unit specializing in cardiac and medical cases.
- Manage patients diagnosed with CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI problems, diabetes, post-cath procedures, and total joint replacements.
- Interpret telemetry strips and sign off once per shift.
- Utilize BiPap, CPAP, and administer breathing treatments as needed.
- Charge Nurse and House Supervisor available for support.
- Nurse Aides available with a 1:10-15 ratio.
- Participate in self-scheduling; schedules finalized by the manager.
- Weekend Requirement: Work two weekends per four-week schedule.
- Holiday Requirement: Work two days and an evening or two evenings and a day during major holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving).
- Floating Requirements: May float to other campuses or units if qualified.
- Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs required.
- One shift of orientation provided on the unit.
- Utilize Cerner as the charting system.
- No call or standby requirements.
