Implements procedures and theories related to their practice area.
Maintains accurate documentation of nursing care to integrate information for the healthcare team's use.
Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops a care plan based on patient and family needs.
Implements and modifies care plans, interventions, and procedures as necessary.
Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by addressing safety hazards and incidents.
Communicates effectively with others and resolves issues privately when necessary.
Offers constructive feedback for peer development and collaborates to expand knowledge.

Meets all departmental competency requirements.
Ensures good communication with patients and families through hourly rounding, bedside shift reports, and using whiteboards.
