Job Title : Clinical Outpatient Coordinator (COPC) Job Specialty : Outpatient Job Duration : Full-time Shift : 8-hour day varied Guaranteed Hours : 36-40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 3 years in acute nursing License : Current RN license in State of Nebraska Certifications : BLS Certification Must-Have : Graduate of an accredited nursing programJob Description : - Provide direct nursing care for outpatients needing treatment, medications, infusions, and various procedures.- Direct the scheduling of services to enhance customer service and maintain continuity of care for recurring and one-time service patients.- Document all nursing care provided according to nursing service policy.- Perform appropriate patient care to achieve prioritized outcomes, including pre-operative services such as pre-op teaching, EKG, and coordinating ancillary services.- Conduct RN duties for the wound clinic.- Document patient care provided, including pre-authorizations with insurance companies and updating recurring outpatient charts.- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and timely, observing patient safety protocols.- Coordinate effectively with other departments for scheduling multi-service appointments and communicate follow-up information.- Act as the principal contact for outpatient provider orders, ensuring all physician orders are signed and faxed.- Participate in department meetings and training for professional growth, meet educational requirements, and contribute to knowledge sharing.- Comply with state and federal regulatory requirements related to health center operations and the compliance program.- Engage in professional development opportunities through educational programs, workshops, and in-service meetings.- Perform other duties as assigned.- Use various equipment, tools, and materials, including patient care and communication systems, to provide high-quality care.Serves patient age groups : Child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
