- Work in a MedSurg unit with staffing ratios typically 1:6. May flex to 1:7 for unplanned absences.
- Required to work every other weekend.
- On-call duties required based on low census.
- Must float within scope to meet facility needs and may float between like units.
- Work in a unit with a total of 12 staffed beds; required scrub color is Royal Blue.
- Use Epic for charting.
- Required participation in emergency response teams during hurricane season.
- Complete all necessary modules, with average completion time of 4 hours.
- Participate in 16 hours of non-billable orientation.
- Flu vaccine is required, with medical/religious exemptions only. COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a lower rate; priority given to non-local candidates.
- Ensure all requested time off is included at the time of submission; no additions after submission.
- Applicants should not have prior employment with the facility within the last year.
- Be prepared to adapt to potential emergency response duties during hurricane season.
- Candidates should be aware of charting and documentation requirements using Epic software.
