- Ability to work during end-of-year holidays: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year fall during the assignment, willingness to work 2 of the 3; if 2 holidays fall during assignment, willingness to work at least 1 of the 2
- Willingness to float between like units and campuses within 20 miles, though this will be rare
- Large hospital with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4
- Minimal floating required
- Level 1 facility
- Strong adherence to travel compliance requirements
- Candidates must meet all requirements prior to submission
- Former permanent and internal associate travelers must be separated for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
- Orientation provided with a total of 16 hours
