Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)Job Specialty : PCU RN StepdownJob Duration : 13 weeksShift : 12-Hour NightsGuaranteed Hours : 36 hours per weekExperience : Minimum of 2 yearsLicense : Required to submitCertifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSSMust-Have : Flexible schedule, willingness to float, and adaptabilityJob Description : - Join a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac med / surg, dialysis, cancer, vascular conditions, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post-stent and pacer placements, and renal failure.- Maintain a patient ratio of 1 : 4-5 during both day and night shifts.- Titrate drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin.- Work alongside a charge nurse and patient care techs with a ratio of 1 : 12.- Utilize high flow RT Equipment, including troubleshooting responsibilities.- Read and interpret telemetry strips, familiar with the telemonitoring brand.- Participate in smart square online scheduling with one-week orientation.- Fulfill weekend duties on every third weekend and adhere to holiday rotations.- Float between MedSurg or ICU to accommodate stepdown acuity patients.- Wear Navy Blue scrubs as per the dress code.- Engage in an environment focused on patient experience, communication about medications, and responsiveness.- Serve diverse cultural populations, with specific emphasis on inclusivity.- Demonstrate team spirit, flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication skills.- Use the EPIC charting system.
